Be sure to hop around to all the blogs involved on the linky below and don't miss the Ultimate Green Family Grand Prize worth $320!

e-cloth Review

Today I would like to tell you about a pretty amazing way to stop using your paper towels and other cleaning products and replace it with a reusable cloth from e-cloth!  As my part of the Ditch the Disposables hop the generous people at e-cloth are giving away this set above which I was sent for my honest opinion of their products.

First I will tell you about the Bathroom Pack.  It comes with a two part cloth system.  A microfiber cleaning cloth and a Glass & Polishing Cloth.
Why is e-cloth so great from the e-cloth website?
Extra thick and absorbent Bathroom Cloth to remove excess water as well as dirt, grime and bacteria from bathroom surfaces
  • Includes one (1) 12.5" x 12.5" Bathroom Cloth and one 16" x 20" Glass & Polishing Cloth
  • True Chemical Free Cleaning - Fibers attract moisture and oil lifting and and trapping dirt, grease, soap, scum, grime, mildew, and remove over 99% of bacteria using just water
  • Proven to remove over 99% of all bacteria (including e-coli and listeria) from hard surfaces with just water
  • Cleans tubs, showers, sinks, vanities, faucets, tile, mirrors and windows
  • Guaranteed for 300 machine washings

  • My Experience
I put the bathroom cloth to the ultimate test.  We have this layer of nasty grime (I am so embarrassed to share this) but I haven't been able to clean it with anything and get it gone!  Well I did have to put some elbow grease but as you can see in the picture below the before and after it most certainly worked with just water and the cloth!
After you are finished with the dirty work you may dry up and polish with the second cloth.  I actually used it on the mirror by spraying it with just a little water and with the dry cloth it looks just like I would have used a glass cleaner but without any chemicals!

The second product I received was the Kitchen Pack.  This pack includes a similar cloths with one main difference being the non-scratching scrubbing pocket.
    From the e-cloth website:
Includes one (1) 12.5"x12.5" Kitchen Cloth and one (1)20"x16" Glass & Polishing Cloth
  • Offers perfect, chemical-free cleaning for all hard kitchen surfaces using just water
  • Unique non-scratching Scrubbing Pocket quickly and safely removes hardened messes using just water

  • I definitely needed something for my cookware to get them clean for some reason food just really sticks to the stainless pots!  I found that this worked great for those messes as well as my countertops and the polishing cloth works great on the shiny surfaces of my stove!

Overall, I am loving cleaning without any other cleaner besides water!

Now for best part, e-cloth has offered one of my readers to win a prize pack worth $30.00.  You just need to use the Giveaway Tools form below and it is open to US residents 18 or older please.   The winner will be emailed using the email given in the form so please put one that you check often!  The winner will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be drawn.  Mommy Miranda is not responsible for the prize fulfillment.

live clean (baby) Foaming Wash Review

Today I bring you a review from a company out of Canada called live clean.  They have product lines for both adults and babies that includes bath care and much more.  They recently released a foaming wash and I was sent a full size bottle to review for my honest opinion.
I like the live clean mission as listed from their website:
Our mission is to provide a line of products that contribute to a greener planet and perform at the highest level. Live Clean is a unique eco-friendly beauty care line that delivers exceptional results using natural, plant based ingredients. Live Clean formulations are made with a minimum of 96% replenishable, renewable and sustainable plant ingredients...as good for the earth as they are for your body. Go Green without compromising performance.

live simple. live beautiful. live clean.
The package arrived so beautifully packaged and they included samples of the lotion as well!
I personally am a fan of the foaming type washes just because they seem to last a lot longer than traditional body wash bottles.  Another reason I am partial is the one hand ability!  You can pump off a bit in your hand while still holding your wiggle worm in the other!
Little girl recently loves bubbles!  I work at night so most nights daddy has bath time duties.  When I am home I make sure to give her a bubble bath and this foam wash with three squirts fills the tub!  I love hearing my daughter starting to talk now (as she says...Bubbles!)

    Why I like this wash:

    • It is made with 98% plant ingredients
    • Petroleum Free
    • Paraben, SLS, Phthlate and Phosphate free
    • Made with certified organic botanicals of Chamomile, Lavender and Aloe
    • Hypoallergenic
    • Pure Vegan
    • Tear Free
    • Leaves the skin soft (I actually tried it on my skin as well to see how it did)
Where to purchase:  live clean (baby) here in the U.S. is available exclusively at Walgreens and at Walgreens.com the bottle of Foaming Wash suggested retail value is $6.99.  You may also search here for other stores in your area carrying the line of products from live clean.
You can connect with live clean on Facebook.

What kind of baby wash do you use?  You may want to re-evaluate if yours has SLS in it.  Thank you for reading and I love hearing your comments!

I was sent the product mentioned for my 100% honest opinion.  Your opinion may be different than mine.

How do you teach your child about Jesus?

In everyday life do you make it a priority to include your faith in your child's upbringing?

I was reminded tonight how much our kids are sponges and as our pastor put it we are not!

On the way to church little girl was singing deep and wide then started saying our names, mommy, daddy, Annabelle, Jesus!  Yes!  I haven't heard her say it too much she just started talking where we could mostly understand her but it was such a joy to hear!

I do get side tracked sometimes but other times we have Pandora on the Jesus loves me station or I let her watch tv while we eat breakfast on Smile of a Child network (we have a roku player).  Don't get me wrong I do let her watch other shows too but we do limit the tv.

We try and read Bible stories and sing songs but I have to ask myself...Am I living it out in my daily actions and life all together?

We have been watching old seasons of the Dugger Family on Netflix and I so wish I had the patience that Michelle does.  I have been praying about it and pray that God does a work in me to make me more patient!

Just as my pastor said tonight Jesus loved the little children and rebuked the disciples for the way they acted towards them.  They are the next generation and we should teach them young while they are still sponges because one day they will be like us and growing out the sponge stage.

I leave you with this passage:

     Luke 18:15-17
[ The Little Children and Jesus ] People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”
Luke 18:14-18 (in Context) Luke 18 (Whole Chapter)

What do you do in your daily routine teaching your child that others may want to include in their daily walk?

Glow Bug Cloth Diaper Review and Giveaway

I am excited to bring you all another diaper review!  This one however is different because I will be including Canadians in my giveaway!  Yay!  I did receive one Glow Bug diaper for exchange of my honest opinion for this review.
Just a little information about Glow Bug diapers.  The company was started by two moms Sarah Downey and Neta Talmor.  They had the same interest in using diapers that were good quality and affordable and weren't finding them out there so they started their own company.  It is named Glow Bug after Sarah's daughters nick name "Glow Bug" and they thought the cloth diaper looks like a little bug on the tush!
For my review I requested a gender neutral diaper and received this one:
The print is cute but I do find it a bit boyish that's just my opinion!  Ok for the good stuff!
What I like about Glow Bug diapers:
-Three rows of snap downs as pictured above (We have ours on the second one for little girl.  She weighs probably about 22 pounds and is 20 months old)

-They feature a 360° Gusset to hold in the mess!  Although I have a toddler this would be a nice plus for messy newborn poops.
-Two openings for the pocket for easier stuffing and easier cleaning.
-The inside of the diaper itself is made from NEW SlimDry fabric and its super soft and thin I have no other diaper like this!
-The diapers have a snap in insert to which you may double for extra protection.
-Two waterproof flaps for doubled protection at the openings
-Two rows of side snaps to prevent "wing droop"

What sets Glow Bug apart from other diaper companies is the packages that they offer.  The price is affordable because of the packages.  The very cute patterns are set and change annually
For $150.00 you can get either a girl, boy or gender neutral diaper package that contains 12 diapers, 18 inserts, and a wet bag.  That is $12.50 per diaper not including the wet bag and extra inserts.  A pretty sweet deal if you ask me!
There is also a 6-pack white booster package where you also get a wet bag and 8 snap in inserts for $70.00 (around $12 a piece).  They offer this to supplement the bigger package or if you just wanted to try them out and didn't want the whole 12 at one time.

The only draw back from only offering the packages is you can't choose the prints that you want except for girl, boy and gender neutral.  But again, that is how they keep the cost down.

Overall, I am really enjoying this diaper!  It is very absorbent even with just one insert.  I love the super thin SlimDry fabric.
You may purchase Glow Bug diapers straight from their website and you can also search for a local store to see them in person!  I was excited when I saw that there is a mom not too far from me that sells them!
You can connect with Glow Bug diapers on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
Now for the very best part!  Glow Bug Cloth Diapers has offered one of my awesome readers a opportunity to win one of their diapers valued at $12.50 in their choice of boy, girl or gender neutral print!
Details:  You must be a resident of the US or Canada and 18 or older.  Canadian residents must answer a skills question in order to win.  The winner will be drawn randomly by Giveawaytools.com and they will have 48 hours to respond to the winning email once the giveaway has ended.  The giveaway will be open from 10/22-11/5.   Mommy Miranda is not responsible for the prize fulfillment.
I received the product mentioned in exchange for my honest opinion.  All opinions expressed are 100% my own and yours may differ from mine.

Newmans Own Organics Review and Giveaway

We are trying to live a lifestyle that is more organic.  I try to only buy organic especially for little girl.  I was doing a search for organic chocolate and came across Newman's Own Organics.  Not only do they have an organic chocolate line they have a vast variety of foods and snacks, olive oil, and even pet food!

Newman's Own Organics started as a branch off from Newman's Own company in 1993 and later split to establish their own company in 2001.  The founders Nell Newman and Peter Meehan seek to create great tasting organic products that people love!  Nell knows that people are wanting more and more to know where their food came from and are looking for organic products.

That is true for us as with many of you probably!  Organic as well as local food is becoming more important for a lot of people.  I want to tell you about the products that Newman's Own Organics graciously gave us to try!

    What we received:

Fig Newmans™ in the Fat Free, these were my husbands favorite.  In fact, he opened the box before I even got home and it was half empty!  These were created by the help of the Kraft corporation and partnership except the ingredients which are listed
here are based on organic ingredients.  They come in a Fat Free, Wheat Free and Dairy Free.

Newman-O's- These come in six delicious flavors!  We received the Chocolate Crème and the Hint-O-Mint and our favorite were the mint.  These did not last long at all!
Hermits- These are a soft cookie made from ingredients such as organic molasses (anything with molasses is good in my book), organic raisins, and many other yummy things!  We had the privilege to try the ginger flavor and they were a hit…even with little girl!

Alphabet Cookies- We tried these in the cinnamon graham flavor and while I was thinking little girl (20 months) could enjoy these they were a bit too crunchy for her.  The hubby and I are enjoying these!  They have a slight cinnamon taste, which I am a fan of.

Chocolate Cups- Actually these are the reason I even contacted Newman's Own Organics!  Yum!  Who wouldn't love organic (good for you) chocolate?!  Just a little more info about the chocolate cups from the website:

With three cups per 1.2 ounce package, there are five flavors to choose from: Peanut Butter in Dark Chocolate or Milk Chocolate, a delicious Dark Chocolate Peppermint Cup and a rich Caramel cup rounding out the selection in either Dark Chocolate or Milk Chocolate. All five carry Rainforest Alliance Certification. Both Caramel cups carry the USDA Seal.

I have to say that I am usually a peanut butter cup girl but after trying the milk chocolate caramel I was hooked!

Spelt Ginger Snaps- These were great!  Again, a little too crunchy for little girl, but hubby and I enjoyed them!  Like all of the Newman's Own Organics products these are certified organic by Oregon Tilth.
Pretzels- There are 10 different pretzel varieties to choose from.  For review purposes, we received the Spelt, Salted Sticks, Rods Thin Sticks, and the Mighty Mini's.  Generally, I feel pretzels are kind of plain, however I took a bag with me to my mom's house and she loved the Spelt!  The good thing about these pretzels is they are baked, so they won't take up many of your daily calories.  You can always use them to dip yummy stuff such as hummus or artichoke dip.

Dried Fruit- We received the berry blend and the dried cranberries.  To my surprise hubby opened these and had enjoyed almost the whole bag of berry blend saying that, "Annabelle really likes them."  Blaming it on our poor child!  All kidding aside, they were very good and the berry blend includes:

Organic Raisins, Dried Organic Cranberries(Organic Cranberries, Organic Sugar, Organic Sunflower Oil), Dried Organic Blueberries, (Organic Blueberries, Organic Sugar, Organic Sunflower Oil), Dried Organic Red Tart Cherries (Organic Red Tart Cherries, Organic Sugar, Organic Sunflower Oil)

These were great on salads as well tossed with greens and a vinaigrette dressing!

Mints- We received the Cinnamon Mints and when I saw the package it said HOT on the outside but they were actually quite refreshing.  I took these to work with me and shared them with my co-workers.  Everyone needs a fresh breath waiting on tables!  I accidentally left them at work, and a few days later they were gone.  Someone must have liked them!  They have several other flavors that I would love to try.
Licorice- These just aren't your normal licorice, with flavors such as Sour Mango and Pomegranate your taste buds are simply pleased.  And why wouldn't they be with the ingredient list such as this:

Pomegranate: Organic Wheat Flour, Organic Sugar, Corn Syrup, Organic Tapioca Syrup, Vegetable Glycerin, Sunflower Oil, Elderberry Extract, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, Pomegranate Juice Concentrate, Licorice Root Extract.

To sum up Newman's Own Organics has a great line of goodies for the whole family.  I just mentioned a few, there are many other things on the
website you can visit and see for yourself.  You may also find them on Facebook and you can search here to find a retailer near you.

The best part of all, Newman's Own Organics has offered one of my readers a prize from our four favorite items!  For the giveaway I chose the winner to receive a variety pack that includes; the Chocolate Cups in Caramel, a bag of the Spelt Pretzels, the Hint-O-Mint cookies, and a bag of the berry blend dried fruit!  Newman's Own Organics just may throw in one other item!

To enter you must be 18 or older and a resident of the US only please as the food can not ship to other countries.  Mommy Miranda is not responsible for prize fulfillment and shipping.  The winner will be contacted via email used to enter on Giveaway Tools and will have 48 hours to respond to the winning email or another winner will be drawn.

I received the products mentioned in exchange for my honest opinion.  All opinions expressed are totally my own and yours may differ from mine.  Some of the images above are courtesy of the Newman's Own Organics website.

    Veggie Pot Pie Recipe

Lately at our house we have been going meatless for several different reasons.  We just really haven't wanted to buy non-organic chicken, or non grass fed beef mostly because of how expensive it is.  So until daddy comes home with a big deer for our freezer its meatless for us!

I just created this the other day with veggies on hand but you can substitute anything for the ones I used!  That is the great thing about cooking you can use up what you have or what is about to go bad.  In culinary school we learned that the best chef is the one who is throwing away nothing, so go with this theme and get rid of your veggies you are about to toss or you can use frozen ones like I have here.

    On with the good stuff!

    What you will need:

    • 2 medium sized potatoes-peeled and diced medium
    • 1 cup frozen peas
    • 1 cup diced carrots
    • 1 cup frozen broccoli
    • 1 large onion-sliced here but would be good diced too!
    • 2/3 stick butter
    • 1 1/2 cup chicken stock
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1/3 cup flour (more as needed
    • One can of biscuits (what ever you have or you can make your own crust!)
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • Texas Pete to taste
    • A casserole dish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Fill a medium sized pot with water and when it starts to boil put diced potatoes in.  Let them boil for about 10 minutes (they should be soft).  If you are using fresh carrots, broccoli put them in at the same time as the potatoes.

After potatoes are soft add frozen veggies (or just peas if you are using fresh as mentioned above).  Cook for about 5 mins just until heated through.  Drain veg's and set aside.

In another medium size pan heat the pan then add the 2/3 cup butter until melted.

Add the onion to the pan and cook until it is translucent.

Next you are going to make a roux (mixture of flour and butter) simply add the flour to the pan of onions and butter then stir and let it cook for a few minutes just keep stirring.  Once it has had a chance to cook a little add the milk and the chicken stock at the same time.
You are going to keep stirring until it starts to gently boil and thicken (have the heat on med-high) being careful not to scorch the milk.  The sauce will thicken as you can see in the right bottom picture.
Now add the onion and sauce mixture to the veggies and place them in the dish you will be using.  Also, put the salt and pepper and texas pete here.  I placed my dish on a sheet pan in case of dripping which did happen!
Here's the hard part (not) take the biscuits and mash them around a little to flatten them.  Place them around the top of the pie.  Now you are ready to put it in the oven!  I baked mine in my toaster oven which is convection and it took about 30 minutes for the biscuits to get brown on top.
Now hubby wasn't sure when I told him what we were having that night but when he went back for seconds I knew it was a hit!
Like I mentioned before you may use any veggies in this dish anytime you cook you can change out ingredients that's the joy of cooking!
I would love to know if you try out the recipe or if you find something I left out please let me know!
    -Miranda :)

    Having the Attitude of Christ

I just wanted to share from my devotion this morning I woke up before the rest of my house.  My attitude has been one of grumbling at work because of certain people or situations and I know its not right but today I was definitely shown that it needs to stop.  I wanted to share because I tend to be selfish and only think of myself and I know many others are like that too.

I have the devotional book from Sarah Young called Jesus Calling it is written from Jesus point of view.  I would just like to share a little exert from the Oct. 9 page,

"Complaining to others is another matter all together.  It opens the door to deadly sins such as self-pity and rage.  Whenever you are tempted to grumble, come to Me and talk it out.  As you open up to Me, I will put My thoughts in your mind and My song in your heart."

The reference verse that goes along with this is Phil. 2:14-15 but I looked at the big picture as Phil 2:1-18 and I will put it here so you may read it also!

    Philippians 2:1-18

    New Living Translation (NLT)

    Have the Attitude of Christ

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
    Though he was God,[a]
he did not think of equality with God
        as something to cling to.
    Instead, he gave up his divine privileges[b];
he took the humble position of a slave[c]
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,[d]
he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

    Shine Brightly for Christ

12 Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. 13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
14 Do everything without complaining and arguing, 15 so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. 16 Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless. 17 But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God,[e] just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy. 18 Yes, you should rejoice, and I will share your joy.

    1. 2:6 Or Being in the form of God.
    2. 2:7a Greek he emptied himself.
    3. 2:7b Or the form of a slave.
    4. 2:7c Some English translations put this phrase in verse 8.
    5. 2:17 Greek I will rejoice even if I am to be poured out as a liquid offering.
    (From Biblegateway.com)

I hope you are encouraged and convicted by the Word and seek a Christ like attitude in all you do as I am trying to do as well!

Scripture Stickies-A Great Way to Fill Treat Bags This Fall

Let me tell you about Scripture Stickies!  A Review and Giveaway!

I recently came across this very neat company called Scripture Stickies.  They make Bible Verses on sticky notes so you can post just about anywhere as a great reminder, and a way to learn Bible Verses.

About the company and the owners from their website:

"Hello! We are Julie and Gregorio Alvarez. Thank you for visiting the Scripture Stickies website. We are excited that you want to stick Scripture in your home, office, school, etc. Scripture Stickies are a ministry for us and we hope that you will be blessed by them.

Here's a little bit of our story:
Scripture Stickies were an inspiration from the Lord to help our family get organized and memorize more Bible verses. We had post-it notes everywhere with verses written on them and Scriptures scrawled on 3x5 cards taped up in every room. In an answer to prayer, God gave us the inspiration to present His Word in a fun stickable format that we (and you) can use to surround ourselves with Scripture. We have found that Scripture Stickies are a great way to memorize and meditate on the Word of God. In addition many people have used them to encourage others and evangelize.
God has blessed us with ten years of marriage, one beautiful baby boy, one adorable baby girl, and two small doggies. We thank the Lord every day for His saving grace in our lives as He has transformed them in a major way and He continues that good work in us daily!"
    -Julie and Gregorio

Julie sent me a few packs one was for the fall season.  They are called Harvest Mini's.  I went ahead and made up treat bags with candy and put one Bible verse in each bag!  They are small enough to fit perfect in the bags.  What a great way to share the gospel with someone.  I will probably give them to our youth Sunday School class as we do not have many trick-or-treater's where we live.  These would also be great for fall birthdays, truck-or-treat's and fall festivals.

Some of the other examples of stickies they sent me are Christmas Card inserts and Get well soon stickies.  Great to put inside of a card you are sending someone as a reminder that God loves them and cares about them.

There are so many other products that they sell and I encourage you to visit their website and take a look!

I know me personally I would love a way to help me remember more scripture.  When I was little I knew more probably than I do now (which is not good, and I hate to admit but its true)!

You can also connect with Scripture Stickies on Facebook!

Win one!  Scripture Stickies has offered one reader a opportunity to win one pack of their choice!

You need to be 18 or older and US only please.  The winner will be contacted by email using the address entered and will have 48 hours to respond with their address or another winner will be drawn.

I received the products mentioned for my honest opinion.  Your opinion may differ from mine.  Mommy Miranda is not responsible for prize fulfillment.

What kind of Toothpaste are you using? Natural Day Review and Giveaway

Natural Day Toothpaste has sent me a tube of their mello mint toothpaste to review for my honest opinion and is giving one tube away to one of my readers!

Are you still using a toothpaste that has SLS (Sodium Laurel Sulfate) in the ingredient list?  If so you will want to stick around and read my post today!

Just a little about the company; Natural Day was started from a dad and daughter team who are both very well educated in chemical knowledge and knowing what was going into the mainstream toothpaste they knew there had to be a better alternative.

Below you can see the ingredient list from the Natural Day Website:

    Natural Ingredients
Vegetable Glycerin, Purified Water, Xylitol, Calcium Carbonate, Carrageenan, Sodium Coco Sulfate, and USDA Organic Flavor Concentrates.

Vegetable Glycerin: Vegetable glycerin is a carbohydrate derived from coconut oil. In food products, it moistens, sweetens without raising glucose levels or contributing to tooth decay, and it's a natural preservative.

Xylitol: Xylitol (zahy-li-tawl) is an all natural sweetener approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the World Health Organization’s Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives. It's safe for diabetics because it doesn't require insulin to be metabolized, and it has the added proven benefit of inhibiting the growth of bacteria in the mouth.

Calcium Carbonate: Calcium carbonate is a natural food grade mineral agent with cleaning and polishing qualities.

Carrageenan: Carrageenan is a seaweed extract (used in place of animal-based gelatin) to thicken and emulsify a variety of food products. It is 100% vegetarian.

Sodium Coco Sulfate: Sodium Coco Sulfate is an emulsifier and foaming agent that is derived from pure coconut oil. Unlike sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium coco sulfate does not contain dangerous manufacturing by-products.

USDA Organic Flavor Concentrates are set in an organic gum acacia base. All of our Natural Day™ flavor concentrates are certified USDA organic, kosher, vegan, food grade, gluten-free, and contain no allergens. The flavors we use in our toothpaste are also used in organic drinks, ice cream, and candy which means you and your children will love to brush your teeth with Natural Day™ Toothpaste!

Knowing what goes into a product is becoming more and more important to me and to my family.  Many of my family members have passed away and are still getting cancer everyday.  I believe the key to stopping this is by changing the little things that add up in our bodies.  We started with cloth diapers and now it has lead us to using unpaper towels, using castile soap for everything to clean with, using natural makeup or none at all, mama cloth, and many other things!

My thoughts on Natural Day Toothpaste:

-I like the consistency of it.  It is not too chalky like other natural pastes I have tried.
-Of course I like the ingredient list.

-The mello mint has a nice suttle flavor of mint not too overpowering.

-It doesn't burn my mouth like traditional toothpaste does.

-I am not putting toxins in my mouth!

You can purchase Natural Day on their website for 6.99 plus shipping.  Compared to traditional it is a little more pricy especially if you use coupons I know I have gotten free toothpaste.  The problem there is it is not good for you!  I would much rather spend a little extra to ensure my safety.

I would love to know what ways you have started changing things in your household or what toothpaste you use currently and if you plan to switch after reading this!

How can I turn all my worries and problems over to God?

How can I turn all my worries and problems over to God?

I wanted to share the above post from Gotquestions.org

I was talking with a co-worker tonight and she was just saying how she had a lot on her mind and I told her to give it all to Jesus.  I think she was stunned a little but I know that we tend (or at least I do) to hold on to many things in our heads.  But actually our thoughts should be turned over to God.  We can cast all of our cares upon Him.  If you ever have any questions about salvation please email me! spartanburg83 at gmail dot com!

    *Flash Giveaway* NavarretesCreations

I had so much fun from my last flash giveaway that I decided to team up with a local jewelry maker who has a shop on Etsy called Navarretes Creations and do another one!

McKinley is the owner and maker of Navarretes Creations on Etsy and she shares on Etsy her about me:

    "A girl with a dream....

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved working with and making things with my hands. I loved working with beads during arts and crafts time and loved making jewelry. As I got older, I tried making and selling jewelry, then stopped for a while, got some new ideas, and started making jewelry again. With the support of my friends, family and a wonderful, supportive husband, I opened up this shop to show what I can do. With my heart in what I do and my faith in God above, all things are possible. "

Every piece of jewelry is hand made by her.  You can even request specific style, make of beads etc. for her to make it from!  What is more awesome than handmade, quality jewelry?!

Here are a few examples of what she has in her shop:

She is providing a giveaway for a pair of sterling silver earrings.  They are made of silver spacer beads, silver flower spacers, faceted silver crystal beads and natural red coral beads.

Woolzies Dryer Balls Review and Giveaway

*For this review purpose I received a pack of dryer balls free from a giveaway that I won.  All opinions are my own and Woolzies decided to offer a giveaway along with my review.  Your opinion may be different than mine. *

I would like to tell you about Woolzies Dryer Balls if you have not heard of them yet or haven't tried them.  The basic principal behind the dryer ball is to replace the toxic dryer sheets you are using.  In case you haven't heard before they are not good for you.

I encourage you to rate your softener products you are using here on the EWG.org!  Most that I just did a random search for were rated D and F!

Woolzies Dryer Balls are made by hand in Nepal with New Zealand wool.  I specifically love this because I have several friends that are from Nepal and I love that they are supported with a company such as this!

They offer two sizes currently.  One box of 3 XL balls are 19.99 for a small load of laundry and a box of 6 XL Balls are 39.99.  They last 1000 washes (not that I can even try to keep a count of how many washes I do?!)  But the cost doesn't compare to your heath and the health of your families!

    Benefits of using Woolzies:

-Dry time is cut by 25%

-No harsh chemicals going into your clothing and eventually on your skin!

-They last at least 1000 washes

My thoughts:  I can definitely tell my dry time is cut especially with my cloth microfiber inserts.  We have very humid summers so my diapers can hang out all day and still be wet in the afternoon.  By throwing them in the dryer a little less than an hour with the dryer balls in they are dry faster.  Before we had the woolzies it would take two dryer cycles.

When I am getting clothes out of the dryer I just make sure to shake my clothes out and leave the Woolzies in the dryer for the next day/load that way they do not get dirty or misplaced.  My clothes definitely are much softer when I use the balls.  You may even put essential oils onto the Woolzies for added natural scent.

Overall, I am really liking using the dryer balls and will never go back to the chemical softeners.

Woolzies Dryer Balls are available at local stores such as Walgreens, Bed Bath & Beyond, HomeGoods, and drugstore.com.  You can also order online from their website.

You can connect with Woolzies Dryer Balls on Facebook and Twitter.

Now for the best part!  Woolzies has offered one of my readers the opportunity to win a box of Woolzies Dryer Balls!

The giveaway is open to US only and you must be 18 or older.  Once the winner has been chosen by Giveaway Tools and emailed they will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be drawn.  So please check your email often!  Thank you for reading and entering on my blog!
