Are you aware...

I am posting this from conviction and if you don't like it you may simply unlike my page and I am totally okay with that!

First, I want to say if you have had an Abortion in the past like many people I know then you can be forgiven because there is a God who created you and loves you!  Please read more here!

Last Week at our church we had an "Abolitionist for Abortion" come and speak...he opened my eyes to the epidemic we have here in America...Did you know that each day over 3,000 babies are killed each day?!  So very heartbreaking!

While doing some research my eyes were also opened more to the contorversal topic of vaccines and abortions see more here:

What can we do as Christians in this dark world we are living in?

-Pray for our Country and our leaders that we will turn from this wicked way.

-Help others learn there are other options such as Adoption.

-Be on the front lines at clinics (I know I could not do this as my husband has been with someone from Church before and described to me the conditions and seeing women go in and come out)

I believe that the day of judgement is very near and that if we do not turn as a nation back towards God and set our sights on Him then we will see His wrath.  I am not saying this to scare anyone but to simply wake up!  (Speaking to myself as well)  We simply go from day to day being self seeking but we need to seek His kingdom in all we do.

I am just learning more about Abortion and my eyes have been opened as I hope your's have as well!

Getting ready for Baby's arrival!

It is getting about that time!  I am 33 weeks and I am trying to get things ready at home.  I thought about it and I used to have our diaper washing instructions hanging in the wash area but for some reason (probably because I am the only one that EVER washes diapers or other laundry) I took them down! :)

Below is a list of how I wash my diapers and it has been working for us with the occasional vinegar wash to get things extra clean!  Hopefully while I am in the hospital hubby can bring home little ones diapers to wash so that I won't have much to do when I get home from my c-section!

Cloth Diaper Laundry

1.       Empty all diapers into washer including the wet bag

2.     First load Settings: large load/cold water/run one cycle regular

3.     Next load:  Large load/Hot water/full amount of Ecos Free and Clear with one scoop of Ecos Oxy powder/Extra rinse set to ON

4.     Line Dry if possible if not Dry on MEDIUM with dryer balls Full cycle then another time if necessary (they may not be dry from one cycle)

Just wanted to share!  Do you have your cloth diaper instructions posted in case someone wants to help you?

The Rebecca Foundation's Cloth Diaper Closet Giveaway #cloth4all

Eleven years ago on June 9th, my life was changed for the better. My gorgeous, amazing and precocious daughter Rebecca was born. She has always been my inspiration, brings out the best in who I am, and without her insightful question “The Rebecca Foundation’s Cloth Diaper Closet” would have never been.

In celebration of Rebecca we are officially launching our Cloth for All campaign (#cloth4all) designed to break the stigma surrounding cloth diapers. Its purpose is to help teach the world one family at a time that today’s cloth diapers are simple, safe, and environmentally responsible not to mention “OH! So cute!”. We truly believe that regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, economical background or geographical location, anyone can cloth diaper.

We put the our team to work behind the scenes reaching out to some amazing companies that we wanted to do a HUGE giveaway celebration for the launch of our campaign and our brand new website. The immediate and overwhelming response from sponsors and bloggers was more than we expected. These amazing companies believed in what we are doing and were 100% on board for celebrating this event by providing some incredible gifts that we will happily pass along to you.

Now I know what you are saying, that is an AWFUL lot on that form….now trust me when I say this that it will be well worth the few moments to complete it. You will not only be supporting TRFCDC but also each one of these companies ran by hard working mom and dads, just like you. You may even discover a company you never heard of and find that perfect product you have been looking for.

For this giveaway we will have 1 grand prize winner with a total estimated retail value of $1000.00. Be sure to follow this blog and The Rebecca Foundation’s Cloth Diaper Closet Facebook page for updates.

I wish I knew you better Daddy...

I write these words with a heavy heart...

I wish I knew you better Daddy...

I wish when I was growing up I could remember times together...But all I have is pictures...and faint memories of fishing...

I wish you had given up drinking to be with your family...

But you didn't...

I wish I knew who you were when you were younger but you never told me stories...

I wish you could show me how to run the tractor and plant a garden like you used to...

But you are too tired from cancer treatments...

I wish you had been there for me more when I needed a daddy...

A void that no one can fill except the Heavenly Father...

I wish now that you had a voice and could make up for all of the times we had nothing to talk about...

Now it is too late and your voice has been taken...

And now your mind is not all there...

Even now I still don't know you...

And it makes my heart so so sad...

I am so thankful for a God who saves...

Because now you have said you believe and trust in Him...

So even though you can't talk now only through written words your soul will go to heaven if you do not beat cancer...

I love you Daddy...

This post was written in hopes that if you are a parent or have one like mine you will find that it is never too late to reconnect and I encourage you to do so before it is too late and your time on earth is gone.   Also, if you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior and friend then I encourage you to ask Him in your heart so that you may know Joy and Peace that only He offers.

Romans 5

6.  You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

7.  Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.

8.  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

PiperWai Natural Deodorant Review

For review purposes I was sent a product in exchange for my own personal opinion.

I made the change sometime last year probably to switch from mainstream deodorants to natural after looking up the rating on the for most of the ones you can get in a store.  My problem however is I feel like I have to re-apply every so often or I find I have certain sensitivities to some brands and can not figure out what ingredient is causing reactions.

My sister was telling me about PiperWai and actually she ordered her first jar when I got mine to review.

Just a little about PiperWai and how they got started from their website:

Jess and Sarah have been business partners ever since they sold lemonade the summer after 4th grade at a park in Philadelphia. Over the years, they've remained close friends, frequently discussing their paradoxical desire to live a more natural lifestyle in a hectic urban environment.

After reading about the potentially harmful effects of her conventional antiperspirant and disappointed by the yellow stains its aluminum content caused on a cherished blouse, Jess decided she needed to make a change in her underarm regimen. However, she quickly realized that existing natural deodorants and popular DIY recipes online either didn't work, easily melted, or turned her sensitive skin bright red. Jess set out to create the perfect natural deodorant for herself. Six months and about a hundred test batches later, she gave the final product to Sarah to try during a service trip in South America.

After realizing what a great product they had they decided to go into business!

My review:

When I received my jar I couldn't wait to try it out!  I was still working at the restaurant so I figured I would go ahead and take the plunge and try it out there at a sweaty night of work.  I applied maybe a pea size amount to each pit after getting out of the shower and to my surprise I didn't stink after working a shift.

Since then we are in 80 plus degree days outside now and it is still working great.  I have had my jar for almost a month and its not even half way down the jar.  I was a little skeptical of trying a new natural product because many I have tried I kept having to reapply after a few hours and this one is not the case.  I can even wake up and just reapply in the morning because lets face it I don't get a shower everyday!

Other things that I like:

  • The ingredients-Cassava (Tapioca) Starch, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Magnesium Oxide, Butryospermum parkii (Shea) Butter, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Rosewater, Witch Hazel, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E), Sodium Bicarbonate, Activated Carbon (Charcoal), Proprietary Blend of 11 Essential Oils
  • Great for sensitive skin (like mine)
  • You aren't putting toxic chemicals under your arms!

Overall, if you are looking for a natural deodorant and you want to make the change I highly recommend PiperWai!

You can order PiperWai on their website here for just 9.99 and you can connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.
